Taking a stand against discrimination in the workplace

On Behalf of | Jun 15, 2020 | Discrimination

As hard as it may be to believe, discrimination in the workplace is still common in California and throughout the rest of the country. Yes, society has taken great steps to protect the rights of workers over the last several decades, but it seems that more needs to be done. When workers in California believe they have been the victim of workplace discrimination, they might personally need to take a stand.

The types of discrimination that can occur in the workplace are quite varied, including discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability and even age. State and federal laws protect workers in the event that discrimination happens in the workplace.

However, the reality is that lawsuits based on allegations of workplace discrimination can be notoriously hard to prove. Employers will fight back hard against these types of allegations, especially since no employer wants to be viewed in a negative light with their current or potential employees. Victims of workplace discrimination can expect employers to put up a tough fight.

At our law firm, we understand the strong connection that many California residents feel with their employment. We also understand the hurt that can accompany any instance of workplace discrimination. We work with our clients to attempt to make sure that they are pushing toward the right solution for their own unique issue involving workplace discrimination. For more information about how we attempt to help California residents who are facing these unfortunate situations, please visit the workplace discrimination overview section of our law firm’s website.
